Cosmic Realms Con is West Virginia's premier sci-fi and pop culture convention, designed for accessibility and community. Held on the picturesque Battlers Knob campus, our event offers a gentler, more intimate alternative to overwhelming larger cons. Experience our Intergalactic Masquerade, the first-of-its-kind Mad Science Fair cosplay competition, and captivating performances by the Augusta Youth Ballet. Explore a stellar art gallery; attend panels and lectures on topics like "The Philosophy of Star Trek" with English Prof. Kim Wickham, "Real/Mad Science" with Forensic Anthropology Prof. Kristy Henson, "Beyond the Visible: How Radio Astronomy Reveals a Hidden Universe" with Astronomy Prof. Emmanuel Fonseca, "The Mission Continues: The Challenger Legacy 40 Years Later" with the crew of the Challenger Learning Center, and more; participate in creative workshops from miniature painting to creature fabrication; and dive into our fully stocked game center. With dedicated quiet zones, ample seating, and programming for all ages (except our 16+ masquerade), Cosmic Realms creates a welcoming space where fans of all genres can connect, create, and celebrate together.
