The event will begin with a silent reading of selections from Toni Morrison’s essay collection, The Source of Self Regard. Afterwards, Shakira King will lead a discussion connecting the readings with the artwork on display in InLiquid Gallery, in an exhibition also titled “The Source of Self Regard.” We hope you’ll join us for this insightfully unique gallery experience.
The Source of Self Regard brings together 6 artists with roots in Philadelphia to examine the Black self in a powerful celebration and affirmation of belonging. Learn more here.
