IMPORTANT INFORMATION! PLEASE READ TO END!!
We are back this year at Uhuru Flea Market for one of our favorite outreach events to spread the animal liberation message! We will also be giving out free vegan food samples.
All funds raised will be donated to animal sanctuaries. Last year, we raised over $3,000 for various animal sanctuaries at our flea market fundraisers! So far this year, we raised $339.50 for #Indraloka Animal Sanctuary (May) and $259.50 for #Skylands Animal Sanctuary (June). For August, all funds raise will be donated to #Sprouts Rescue and Sanctuary.

PARKING: You can usually find free street parking near the flea market (43rd and Chester) although you may have to walk a block or two.
HOW TO FIND US: Our space is usually on 43rd Street, south of Chester. The spaces are usually marked in chalk along the sidewalk, and ours is around #53 or "BESSEY". You can also look for a bowl of water on the sidewalk set out for dogs - that's us! CALL or TEXT MARIANNE AT 610-733-1248 if you have trouble finding us.
This is a really fun event. In addition to selling items, we have a table with animal liberation information, which has generated some fantastic discussions. A wonderful farmers market is also in Clark Park, right next to where we set up. It's a unique way to spread the message and have fun at the same times.

We always appreciate donated items - please, try to contribute things that will sell, NOT junk like your used underwear or your homemade tapes (actual past donations!) Suggested items include tools, sports stuff, wall hangings/pictures, toys, small electronics, office equipment, kitchenware, new or gently used linens, JEWELRY (always a good seller) and unique decorative or collectors items (ornaments, etc). Anything brand new with tags is appreciated other than clothes or books - please check with the organizer, Marianne, before bringing clothes or books.) THANKS everyone who contributed items for our flea market sales in the past! NOTE: donations are NOT a requirement to volunteer. This event was set up for people to volunteer the day of the flea market. Donations are always welcome, however! 🙂
