Boils and Ghouls and all manner of Monsters - Josh Witchens is hosting a monthly screening of classic horror movies called MONDAY MACABRE at Starr Garden Recreation Center at 6th and Lombard Streets! Mondays can be a drag, so start your week off right with creepy community fun! All screenings are FREE! To reserve your seat, email

On Monday, September 8th, your host Josh Witchens embarks on the first in a four part series about the evolution of the slasher film (in reverse order) beginning with the 1983 cult classic SLEEPAWAY CAMP! The most original summer camp slasher movie ever made that subverts the tropes introduced by FRIDAY THE 13TH in 1980 in ways that continue to shock.

Doors open at 6:30pm, show begins at 7:00pm
