Make a Scarecrow for First Friday

Scarecrow making contest! Come and make a scarecrow to be displayed at our Spooky maker market. We will have all the supplies needed. Either come with a group of people(please make sure everyone signs up) - or make new friends. You'll be working with a team of 3 people to make a scarecrow - we will be having a contest where people will vote on their favorite scarecrow at our spooky maker market on Oct 3rd. Please note, the scarecrows will be staying at the LAB until after the event on Oct 3rd.

What is the Tacony LAB Community Arts Center? We are a community art center funded by the City of Philadelphia located in the Northeast section of Philadelphia. We are a program of Mural Arts Philadelphia.

At the Tacony LAB, providing accessible and free art is a priority. We offer free classes for adults and children. Our classes range from fiber arts, drawing and painting, to crafting and more. We provide a safe and inclusive space to work on your projects while receiving support from our attending artists and staff. We encourage you to visit during our open studio hours for a tour of all that our incredible art center packs in. We are excited to invite you to be a part of the developing artist community that we have here!
