Award-winning Milwaukee vocalist Josh Thone debuts new act with pianist-composer Tim Rex Davis for an evening of jazz, folk, and theatrical storytelling.

Josh Thone is a Milwaukee-based singer, actor, and director whose performances blend jazz, folk, and musical theatre into a style that’s both emotionally rich and musically compelling. A Broadway Jimmy Awards® nominee, finalist at Lincoln Center’s NextGen Vocal Competition, and BroadwayWorld Award winner, Josh has performed on national stages ranging from the Minskoff Theatre in NYC to Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum.

His original music is shaped by storytelling roots and theatrical training. Whether solo or with his entertainment production company, Josh Thone & Co. LLC, he brings a polished, engaging energy that resonates across generations.

Joining him on piano is Tim Rex Davis, an Eau Claire-based composer and performer whose original works draw from jazz greats like Keith Jarrett and Oscar Peterson, Latin masters like Chucho Valdés and Michel Camilo, and modern voices such as Ben Wendel and Daniel Hayn. Together, they deliver an unforgettable musical conversation full of improvisation, intimacy, and style.
