About the event

Protecting Freshwater Resources
🔉 Join the Friends of the Petoskey Public Library for another informative program in their Carnegie Speaker Series!

💦 For the August 25 program, we'll welcome Eli Baker, Education Manager at Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council (TOMWC), for an engaging lecture on its mission to protect northern Michigan’s freshwater resources. The TOMWC actively safeguards the Great Lakes, inland lakes, rivers, and wetlands through water quality monitoring, ecosystem restoration, invasive species management, policy advocacy, and education. Eli will share insights on efforts to address environmental challenges, shape water policies, and foster community involvement through the Watershed Discovery Center—a dynamic hub for environmental education.
