Our concert comprises choral music based on texts from the Song of Songs. Over the ages, composers have found these texts to be a great source of inspiration. This includes the great Italian Renaissance composer Palestrina, who was born 500 years ago this year, whose works feature heavily in this programme.
Our concert programme takes the listener on different journeys, demonstrating the links between music from earlier times and music by modern composers.
