Show Your PRIDE on the Airwaves - Radio Project Day
Trent Radio's Next Radio Project Day is coming up on Friday September 19th from 1pm - 7pm to celebrate PRIDE Week in Peterborough.
Show Your PRIDE on the Airwaves is a special radio project day dedicated to to supporting & celebrating 2SLGBTQIA+ people in our community. We invite community members to get involved and create programming to engage on this year's theme: “All of Us or None”
Through music, spoken word and creative radio broadcasts, Trent Radio invites our community to get involved by making radio to celebrate, engage and empower our collective community voice.
If you are interested, but are not sure how to design and host a radio show, please get in touch with Jill Staveley (jstaveley@trentradio . ca) for some guidance.
Here are some ideas:
* Curate a music playlist that celebrates 2SLGBTQIA+ artists and music, and tell us about who they are and why you love them.
*Read a chapter or passage from a 2SLGBTQIA+ book and share biographical information about the author and their other works.
Share your original poetry or prose/writing.
* Perform your music live on the radio.
* Give a history lesson live on the radio to share information about 2SLGBTQIA+ resistance, and/or community empowerment.
* Anything you think might be appropriate for a day designed to celebrate PRIDE in Peterborough-Nogojiwanong.
Proposals are Due by FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 12th @ 9pm

We encourage participants to become members of Trent Radio. Membership fee is $25/year for an individual and can be paid via e-transfer to info@trentradio . ca
