Pottery Feathers of Truth and Reconciliation

Commemorating the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, The Art School of Peterborough will be hosting Star Daughter Woman in creating pottery feathers. Join her in our studio as you transform a slab of clay into a personalized feather that represents strength, wisdom, truth, integrity and connection to the spiritual world.

The sacred eagle feather signifies honesty, justice, and an understanding that a journey toward truth and reconciliation involves embracing Indigenous teachings and creating more inclusive systems for Indigenous individuals.

Each Participant will make one feather, additional feathers made will be $15 each to be paid day of workshop.

Participants will create their own feather then choose a glaze colour they would like it finished with. They will pick up their finished products 2-3 weeks after the workshop to allow for firing and glazing.

Funds raised during the event will be donated to the Nogojiwanong Friendship Centre in Peterborough.
