Longthorpe Tower by Candlelight

See Longthorpe Tower lit by candlelight and discover the story of this remarkable building through a guided tour brought to life by costumed characters from different periods in its history - and beyond, starting with a Roman soldier from the fort that stood nearby 2,000 years ago. Meet a member of the Thorpe family who built the Tower and commissioned the astonishing wall paintings; a Whittlebury from the 15th century when the family lived there in a time of turbulence; characters from the Tudor period when the wall paintings were covered over, the Civil War when nearby Thorpe Hall was constructed, and a serviceman from World War II when the paintings were rediscovered.
