Our 10-week series is designed for anyone who would benefit from calm, hands-on activities in a safe and supportive community garden.
What to Expect – Week by Week
5 Sept – Autumn Seed Sowing for Winter Greens -Sow spinach, winter lettuce, and microgreens to enjoy fresh, homegrown food.
12 Sept – Herbs for Health- Plant hardy herbs like thyme and sage, and learn their wellbeing benefits.
19 Sept – Seed Saving from Autumn Crops- Collect, clean, and store seeds from beans, peas, and flowers.
26 Sept – Caring for Wildlife in the Garden -Create bird feeders and bug hotels to support local biodiversity.
3 Oct – Leaf Printing & Nature Stamping- Use autumn leaves to make greeting cards and seasonal crafts.
10 Oct – Autumn Wreath Making -Craft a decorative wreath from grapevines, herbs, and dried flowers.
17 Oct – Nature Weaving- Weave natural materials like grasses, wool, and twigs into simple hangings.
24 Oct – Pressed Flower & Leaf Art- Create bookmarks or framed art using pressed foliage.
31 Oct – Herbal Tea Blending -Harvest and mix herbs into calming or energising tea blends.
7 Nov – Storytelling Around the Garden- Share seasonal tales, folklore, and memories over warm drinks.
