Kick off our final 2025 in-person learning session with Brent Tully who will enlighten us on the changing landscape of wealth business with AI. Followed by inspirational stories from hall of famer, John Kasperski. We will wrap up the session with Gold Sponsor, Shant Menasian of Beneva, who will speak on how we can make the community thrive together using philanthropy. This jam packed session is not to be missed!

Brent Tully
Regional Vice President - Investia

Brent was born and raised in Peterborough where he spent his childhood playing local hockey and lacrosse. His hockey career extended into the OHL in Peterborough for the Pete’s, and played for 2 years on the Canadian Junior Hockey Team, winning Gold both years. He was proudly inducted into Peterborough Sports Hall of Fame in June of 2024.

Brent has 2 boys named Clayton & Emerson. He has over 20 years in financial industry, the majority with London Life/Canada Life/Quadrus Investments, and started a career as Ontario VP with Investia Financial Services in April of 2024.

Shant Menasian
Senior Regional Sales Director, Savings & Investments - Beneva

Shant brings over 20 years of financial industry experience working with Fidelity and Franklin Templeton in providing business building strategies to advisors. Shant started with Beneva in December of 2020 as the Regional Sales Director and continues to service his clientele consultative sales approach and superior networking skills. He graduated from York University with a Mathematics for Commerce Degree. He lives in Markham with his wife Mary and son Arec.

John Kasperski

As a high school athlete in Toronto, John competed at the OFSAA championships in discus and high jump. While attending Eastern Michigan University he was a varsity athlete in basketball and track and field. He went on to Queens University where he was a member of the championship CIAU track and field team. In 1970 John came to Peterborough to teach at Kenner CVI. For the next 25 years he coached teams and individuals in track & field, basketball, volleyball and hockey, winning OFSAA, COSSA and Kawartha titles in hockey and basketball.

As a Masters athlete, John has participated at the provincial, national and international level in track and field. He has 28 Ontario and 29 Canadian outdoor championships; 17 Ontario indoor championships; 5 Ontario Masters Weight Pentathlon championships and holds Canadian records for men’s 55 and 65 weight pentathlon and men’s 55 shot put. He holds the Ontario Masters indoor records in men’s 45 shot put and 70 weight throw, and outdoor records in weight throw, discus, shot put and hammer throw. John continues to compete at 75+ Masters competition in Canada and around the world. He was named City of Peterborough Athlete of the Year in 1989 and was inducted into the Athletics Ontario Hall of Fame in 2019.
