Join us for an evening of upbeat original rock and classic hits you know and love from the 60s-90s (e.g. Beatles, Hendrix, Police, Men At Work, Pink Floyd, Steely Dan, U2, and more). With dynamic guitar and saxophone solos interspersed between melodic vocals and a tight rhythm section that will draw you to the dance floor, The Social Contractors are thrilled to return to The Block for another evening of free live music at one of Petaluma's best outdoor venues.
The four-piece local "all-star" lineup for the evening include singer/songwriter/guitarist Jason E. Davies, Travis Thayer of Cozy Cats and Blue 7 (saxophone, keyboard, vocals), Rob Neidel of Hyperdrive Kittens (bass, vocals), and Chris Oatman of The Receders on drums.
Founded by Jason E. Davies on the heels of the pandemic, The Social Contractors offer an upbeat blend of melodic original rock and classic covers.
Jason’s tightly crafted tunes feature improvised solos with pointed lyrics that span edgy political and environmental themes to tales of unrequited love and introspection – all with an ultimately optimistic perspective on the possible.
