Which Bird is that. How to identify the birds in your garden

Can you recognise all the types of birds in your garden? Do you know the different honeyeaters, parrots, cuckoos, wrens or robins? Now is your chance to gain practical ID tips on how to recognise 40 different local garden birds. Join us in this interactive, entertaining and informative talk and learn how to nail the birds' appearance, calls and habits.

Presented by the dynamic tag-team Mike and Rachel Green, both are enthusiastic bird watchers, with a wealth of knowledge about the birds in the City of Bayswater. Highlighting the birds will be Rachel's not-to-be-missed bird photographs and videos and Mike's amusing imitations of bird behaviour and stories of his bird-watching exploits.

This is the first in a series of three bird talks Rachel and Mike will be giving. The second one is on "Which Duck is That: How to identify our local waterbirds" on 4th October 2025. This will be in time for the Aussie Bird Count. The third one is "How to attract more birds to your garden" on 1st November 2025.
