Let’s rip. Another day of RC drifting at West Coast. We have learnt some things and the next one should only be better. More shade, more tracks, more fun…
We have learnt that PC/no dot, blue dot and white dot MST tyres all work well and are recommended. The PC/no dot seems to give the best life. Testing still continues. Keen to hear thoughts and ideas regarding tyres. Feel free to use and try anything but if you can get the recommended tyres please do so. This helps match the cars speed and handling.
We have also learnt shade and sun screen is a must this time of year. Gazebos will be setup but the more gazebos the better. If you can help here it is welcomed.
Chassis protection is also recommended if you don’t want scratches. Some cars got some minor scratches but nothing major. A few people were running a thick tape available from hardware stores. It worked well.
2wd is still preferred. Not many 4wd drifters last session so a space won’t be allocated but we can work something out if you bring one along. The more the merrier.
Parking, pits, power, cleaning station and amenities all available on site. Some different tracks will be laid out in different sections of the existing purpose built RC track.
Pricing is standard WCMRC charges. $5 for WCMRC members and $7 for non members. If you want to know more about membership checkout WCMRC on rcracepal.com. Spectators are free and encouraged to come down, check it out and ask questions.
Closed shoes must be worn if walking on track. Lipos must be charged in lipo bags.
