Toads on Roads rescue workshop & training

Thousands of amphibians are killed on roads every year in our area in late winter and early spring as they migrate from their hibernation grounds to their breeding ponds. We are setting up a number of Toads on Roads Rescue Patrols to train volunteers to rescue amphibians from their road crossings and relocate them safely on the other side of the road, record what species they see and what numbers.

The training involves amphibian ID, health and safety, recording your rescues and a practical rescue session close by.
