Wounds are considered Australia’s hidden epidemic, with over 450,000 Australians living with chronic wounds each year.
As the first point of contact for many patients with wounds, it’s important that General Practitioners (GPs) feel confident in managing treatment, whether they’re alone or part of a wider care team.
Our Silver Learnings education series is designed to expand your existing wound care knowledge with essential techniques and strategies to manage a variety of chronic wounds.
Led by internationally renowned wound care researcher Professor Keryln Carville RN, PhD, STN, our education series provides 3 CPD hours and includes:
· A practical in person workshop to cover key skills on wound assessment and initiating treatment.
· A follow up webinar on specific lower leg assessment and management.
· A copy of the Wound Care Manual 8th Edition (normally priced at $60 RRP) written by Professor Carville, as the ultimate guide to best practice wound care.
Professor Carville will lead the workshops with support from Silverchain Senior Research Fellow Dr Sharon Boxall, and GP Liaisons Dr Leena Patel and Dr Erin O’Donnell-Taylor.
This series is designed for GPs and Practice Nurses working in the community/primary care in Western Australia and Queensland.
The dates for WA are:
