This month we welcome Skaman Selecta – vinyl purist, musical storyteller, and long-time New Zealand selector with roots in SE London – for a 5-hour, all-vinyl journey through ska, rocksteady, Jamaican reggae, soul, Motown, blues, original R&B, and New Wave.
With nearly two decades in NZ’s music scene, Skaman has graced stages from intimate bars to major festivals, played iconic venues across Aotearoa, Rarotonga, Sydney, and Perth, and shared the bill with legends like The Skatalites, The Original Wailers, Bad Manners, Fat Freddy’s Drop, and The Black Seeds. His sets are deep dives into the warm, rich sound of vinyl, connecting dancefloors to the roots of the music.
