Celebrate Chinese New Year 2026, where ancient traditions meet a warm Perth welcome!
As the city centre fills with colour, Perth comes alive with dragon dances, live music, and arts and crafts.
Everyone is welcome to join in with activities, crafts and dancing at the Council Building, 2 High Street. For this year, we're excited to share that Scottish Ballet will be attending and will be encouraging anyone who wishes to take part to join in the dancing!
At 12.30pm, the vibrant parade will leave from George Street and High Street junction, proceeding down High Street, turning at King Edward Street, St John's Place, St John Street before returning to the Council building, 2 High Street, Perth.
Whether you are welcoming the Year of the Horse with friends or discovering Chinese culture for the first time, Perth offers an unforgettable start to the lunar year and a celebration of community, prosperity, and new beginnings.
