Chansons, Perth’s Chamber Choir, will be joined by Eilidh Bisset soprano, Andrew Mann saxophone, Gordon Murch piano, Peter Murch drums and Graham Robb bass for a performance of Will Todd’s ever popular Mass in Blue on Saturday 13th September at 7.30pm in the wonderful setting of St John’s Kirk, Perth.
Mass in Blue was commissioned in 2003 by Hertfordshire Chorus with a soprano solo part written for Will Todd’s wife, soprano Bethany Halliday. Since that time his Mass in Blue, with its upbeat jazz setting of the latin mass text, has become very popular and is firmly established in the choral repertoire.
