Get your young chef in the kitchen with friends to make a delicious and beautiful fruit pizza! We’re taking advantage of the season’s abundance of fresh fruit by arranging it on top of a homemade, soft cookie crust covered in cream cheese frosting.
Kids will work together in Virginia’s Kitchen as they learn the steps to prepare the cookie and simple frosting base. Then, we’ll let their creativity flow, as they decorate their own personal pizza with their favorite fruit toppings in a delightful pattern of their choice. Recipes will be sent home with each little chef so that they can recreate their masterpiece at home!

We will be tasting the foods that we prepare, so please make us aware of any dietary restrictions, if they apply to your child. This menu includes dairy and gluten. We do our best to accommodate substitutions for food allergies, but due to cost and class time limitations, we may not be able to offer alternative ingredients/recipes for every dietary restriction. Kelly Rose Hirsh is a current 577 staff member, self-trained cook, and mom of two. She loves to experiment in the kitchen with her children, learning about the food science, techniques, traditions, and history of each recipe, as well as sharing lessons on manners, etiquette, and the art of entertaining that she learned from her mother and grandmothers. Kelly is always looking for more reasons to gather around the table with friends and family and hopes to inspire others to do the same.
