Handmade is Best Made: Fiber Flurry 2026 Fiber Competitions!
Register handmade projects, including wearables and artisanal goods rooted in use, technique and purpose through April 13, 2026 to compete in our Fiber Flurry fiber skill competitions.
All artists, artisans, hobbyists and enthusiasts are encouraged to apply. There is no cost to enter work in festival competitions.
Categories and Awards will be presented as follows:
Competition Best Wearable : $50
Competition 2nd Place Wearable: $25
Competition Best Woven: $50
Competition 2nd Place Woven: $25
Competition Best Non-Wearable: $50
Best in Festival Overall: $75

Artists may apply in up to 2 pieces of work in any category, not to exceed 6 total.
All work is subject to our Handmade Material requirements.

Fiber Flurry is an annual celebration of learning, resources and community for fiber by the Arts Council for Wyoming County - now in its 11th year. This year’s festival will include an expanded schedule - opening with a Fiber Artists Forum on Friday, April 24 and a day of learning, demonstrations and marketplace on Saturday, April 25, concluding with a Sunday Shepherds Panel and last minute vendor marketplace on Sunday, April 26.
Artisans who wish to compete in Spin it to Win it spinning and skein competition can visit artswyco.org to register skeins through April 13, 2026. This is a separate form.
The festival weekend's schedule of Fiber Flurry Workshops will be live on Feb 28, 2026.

Exhibiting Artists who wish to have framed or fine work included in the partnered Gallery Exhibition, "Ides of Ideas" opening on March 14 may submit for jury through February 16, 2026 on "Exhibitions" at artswyco.org. Submissions will be accepted through February 28, 2026.
