“Understanding begins when we choose to walk alongside one another”
As of 2024, approximately 1 in 36 children (roughly 2.8%) was identified with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
To raise awareness, promote understanding, and celebrate the incredible individuals in our community with autism, Perry Service Learning student volunteers are proud to host A Walk in Their Shoes – 2026!

🗓Date & Time: Join us on March 7th, 2026, from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM. The walk around the Manchester West Gym will begin at approximately 12:30 PM. This will be an indoor event.
🎟Admission: Adults: $10, and children are FREE!
📍Location: Manchester West Building, 4261 Manchester Rd, Perry, OH 44081. (This is also home to the Footprints Center for Autism).
👕T-Shirts/Apperal: Pre-sale T-shirts and other apparel can be purchased on our website!
**Orders must be placed by February 22th, 2026
**T-shirt/apparel pick-up will be on Thursday, March 5th, 2026 at the Manchester West parking lot from 3pm – 6pm.
After the walk, stick around and enjoy a bake sale, awesome raffle baskets, and other fun activities! All proceeds from this event will be donated directly to Footprints Center for Autism.
While this event is free for children, we encourage all participants to consider making a donation. Every contribution supports Footprints Center for Autism, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing meaningful services and support for children with autism and their families.
