Portable art drop-in sessions
for the Trans & Non-Binary community in Cornwall

Art and creativity have been proven to improve mental health and foster a greater sense of connection between people. Your Art Connect is run by a group of ‘outsider’ artists who design and deliver art-based activities for young people and adults. We are all members of LGBTQI+ and neurodivergent communities.
As ‘outsider’ artists we reject the commercialism of art and believe that creativity should be free from rules, structure and judgement thus allowing total creative freedom.
We believe that anyone can be an artist.
‘Portable art’ is creative expression on a small scale, and we encourage participants to work on pieces 6”x4” or smaller. Portable art is about accessibility and spontaneity – it is art that can be done anywhere, on the sofa, in a café, on a park bench – using the materials that you can carry easily with you.
These free, informal drop-in sessions offer a space to create and socialise with others. They are open to anyone from the Trans/Non-Binary community 16 years +.
The Nook is LGBTQI+, neuroaffirming and disability friendly.
