Tales to Tails

One Thursday of every month, the Perkins Public Library is joined by Oakley, a golden retriever, who is certified with the Alliance of Therapy Dogs. Independent readers can sign up for one, 10-minute session, to read to this wonderful dog. This is a great opportunity to read aloud in a comfortable environment, to a nonjudgmental, patient listener. This can give readers the encouragement they need to improve their reading skills, and can help improve comprehension and confidence!

This event has designated 10-minute reading time slots that must be reserved in advance. All school aged readers are welcome. Space is limited. For more information or to sign up today, call the Library at 405-547-5185.
