About The Jansen

The Jansen is a lo-fi indie punk duo from Bogor, Indonesia. Comprised of siblings, Cinta Rama “Tata” Bani Satria and Adji Pamungkas, initiated playing 70s punk music through an interdisciplinary approach since 2015. Starting from their 3rd album “Banal Semakin Binal” (2022), The Jansen has been increasingly consistent in blending poetic literary lyrics in Bahasa with thick punk music, yet fusing it with a range of both cacophonous and soothing sounds. The album “Banal Semakin Binal”, consisting of 12 songs and one bonus track, was successfully released in vinyl format by 4490 Records (Singapore) and Demajors Records (Indonesia). Furthermore, they continue to explore the character of sweet feedback sound on their new album release “Durja Bersahaja”, consisting of 12 songs which live recorded on DIY ways in their rent house without metronome.
