The Blasting Company began as a two-man band of brothers who, after years of busking around the United States, found warmth and welcome in Los Angeles. There, the brothers made some very good friends, a few of whom agreed to play music on the streets with them. As the group grew in size, so did its horizons. In the ensuing years, fueled by a strict diet of farmers market fare and wedding hors d'oeuvres, the band made its way to Europe, where it criss-crossed the continent from Portugal to Turkey, Scotland to Ukraine, trading American folk music for whatever was cool. And everything was cool. Back in Los Angeles, the streets were their booking office, leading the way to bar gigs, concerts, weddings, tours, movies, Over the Garden Wall, plus great deals on wild mushrooms, oysters, fresh bread and coffee.
