It’s also why his 2023 EP DALE [Galactic Records/Republic Records] connects on such an intimate level. The Columbus, GA native embraced music as a kid. Teaching himself how to record at the age of twelve, he cooked up tracks in his bedroom and began buzzing on Soundcloud as “BabySantana.” It wasn’t long before Lil Tecca blessed tana’s “prada (Remix)” with a verse, opening doors in the process. Still, tana took the ball and ran with it on his own terms, serving up the gold-selling “Antisocial”, “Antisocial 2”, “14”, and “off the leash!”. In early 2023, he released GAULTIER, with standout tracks like "fear no man", "swaggin like this (with Lancey Foux)”, and “hell yeah,” Our Generation Music hailed it as “tana’s best body of work to date.” Meanwhile, he supported Lil Tecca on dozens of sold out shows around the world. Along the way, he assembled what would become DALE. This time around, he tackled real-life circumstances from a mature perspective which developed into his most personal body of work to date, codified by the title’s dual meaning and fan favorites “HI-ROLLER FOREIGNER” and “BET.”
