Stevesongs is the project of children's singer/songwriter Steve Roslonek, who discovered his love for performing while spending college summers on Martha's Vineyard, where he was part of an a cappella group called the Vineyard Sound. In 1997 he wrote his first children's song for his brother's 1st grade class, and two years later his debut album, Morning Til Night, came out. He received enough compliments and awards from parent's groups that he decided to quit his corporate job at Accenture to pursue music full-time. In 2000, On a Flying Guitar was released, followed by The King, the Mice & the Cheese in 2001 and Little Superman in 2003. In 2006 Stevesongs, who had performed for children in classrooms, workshops, and libraries around the country, issued his fifth record, Marvelous Day. In 2007, Steve joined PBS Kids on air as Mr Steve, the music teacher, in between the nation's most popular children's programs (Curious George, The Cat in the Hat, Sesame Street). Over the course of 5 seasons, Steve and producer Anand Nayak wrote over 100 songs for PBS Kids interstitials. Gaby Alter helped write a few of those tunes as well.
Steve released Marvelous Musical Adventures DVD in 2008 and Orangutan Van in 2012. Next came two albums of PBS Kids songs called Music Time Vol 1 and Vol 2.
Steve's albums have won numerous awards including Parents' Choice Gold Awards, Children's Music Web Awards and many of his songs have reached #1 on Sirius/XM Kids Place Live. ~ Marisa Brown, Rovi
