About Sissel

Sissel was born in Bergen, Norway 1969 The combination of Sissel’s remarkable voice and ability to communicate, has made her a highly sought-after artist the world over. Since her first solo album at 16, she has had enormous success both nationally and internationally, and in Norway her voice is considered a national treasure. Throughout her long-lasting career, she has collaborated with artists such as Diana Krall, Placido Domingo, Warren G, Bryn Terfel and José Carreras, to name a few. Sissel’s voice is also strongly recognized from movies such as “Titanic” and “Lord of the Rings trilogy”. Her great project Reflections, containing 52 songs was released during the year 2019-2020 and is a remarkable collection of love songs. For this project she also made one music video and one talk – video for each song. In 2021 she released to EP´s with nordic and english christmas songs. In 2022 and 2023 Sissel released a great number of new songs. All written and produced by Sissel and her husband Ernst Ravnaas. 3 and 3 songs was released as Trilogies, and all of them collected in a new album: "5" This album is also released on a CD.
