About Shlohmo

Shlohmo, born Henry Laufer, is an artist and musician from Los Angeles. Renowned for his experimental productions that fuse far-ranging elements of shoegaze, R&B, doom metal, screw, and IDM, he has released 3 studio albums to critical acclaim, Bad Vibes (2011), Dark Red (2015), and The End (2019), along with several popular EP’s, collaborative projects (Jeremih “No More” EP), and a vast catalogue of remixes (Drake & The Weeknd’s “Crew Love”). Founder of LA-based record label and artist collective, Wedidit Records, Laufer first received attention for his early releases, his first full-length LP, 2011’s 'Bad Vibes', becoming an early staple of the lo-fi bedroom producer genre. Soon, Shlohmo’s signature ominous, occult soundscape became immediately identifiable on increasingly prominent production credits. 2014’s collaborative “No More” EP with Jeremih helped solidify this unique sound into becoming a contemporary pop production mainstay. Shlohmo has since produced for names such as, Corbin, Yung Lean, Post Malone, Joji, Banks and more. 2020 brings Shlohmo’s latest project, 'Heaven Inc.’, a four song EP expanding on last years ‘The End’ LP. The lead single “Looking at Plants” is available now , accompanied by grim visual directed by Actual Objects and cover painting by David Von Bahr.
