A dance act driven by German production duo Yann Peifer (aka Yanou) and Manuel Reuter (aka Manian), R.I.O. is a vehicle for former Beat System and Future City vocalist Tony T. Born Neal Antone Dyer to Jamaican parents in London, England but raised in New York, Tony T. was approached by Peifer and Reuter -- who were experiencing great commercial success with their Cascada project -- to front some more of their club productions. R.I.O. made its debut in 2007 and quickly became a successful Euro-dance recording act; "Shine On" (2008) reached number eight on the French pop chart and number ten in Sweden, while "Turn This Club Around" peaked within the Top Five in Germany and Austria and topped the Swiss music chart.
