The Italian concept-group Playahitty joined an illustrious who's who of '90s pop stars that included La Bouche, C+C Music Factory and Arrested Development when it was ranked #25 on Music & Media's countdown of the year's Top European Dance Radio records (December, 24, 1994). To generate its palpably warm sensation, the smash song “The Summer Is Magic” steers clear of gimmicks, offering a brisk, persistent beat, a strong vocal and evocative lyrics that speak to the excitement of one man's summer encounter with a lovely girl. (To be more precise, it's one girl during the day and another one at night.) The song has an enchanting quality about it, which no doubt helped the song to peak at #34 on Music & Media's Eurochart Hot 100 Singles chart on September 24, 1994, after gaining immense popularity in France, Germany, the Netherlands, and other countries.
