He was the fifth actor to play the fictional secret agent James Bond in the James Bond film series, after Sean Connery (1962−1967; 1971), George Lazenby (1969), Roger Moore (1973−1985), and Timothy Dalton (1987−1989), starring in four films from 1995 to 2002 (GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, and Die Another Day) and in multiple video games, such as GoldenEye 007 (Nintendo 64, 1997).
