About Namic

Born in Belgium on March 14th 1988, Namic, Laurent Lousberg in real life, is an electro-pop artist with a classical music background. At the age of 8, he started attending the music academy in Eupen and learned music theory and piano for several years. His love for electronic music finds its roots at the end of his childhood, when he decided to stop his music courses, which did not meet his expectations any longer. His affinity with mixing and producing gave him the opportunity to perform in several clubs in Belgium, notably at Metropolis. At the same period, he created his first tracks that were influenced by one of his favourite artists: Coone, a Belgian producer whose career he still admires. In 2008, Laurent Lousberg had no choice but to set music aside in order to focus on his language studies. In 2013, as a young graduate of the University of Liège, he started producing again and notably discovered one of the new musical trends: the deep house. Lost Frequencies, The Avener and Bakermat inspired him among others and this led him to produce “Summertime”, a track that was notably played on Virgin Radio. Namic now comes back with a new remix for Josh Tobias, a New York-based singer and composer.
