History has a funny way of coming full circle. Mr. ColliPark may be known for super hits with the Ying Yang Twins, Young Jeezy, Jamie Foxx, Bubba Sparxx and Soulja Boy Tell Em. However, he started his career as a DJ in the southern suburbs of Atlanta, also known as College Park. For years Mr. ColliPark (fka DJ Smurf) spent countless hours creating, producing, recording and performing as a Dj. It was as a DJ, tha het made himself a popular in the south. Now the time has come for Mr. ColliPark to take his talents into another genre, Country Rap. He has teamed up with his favorite duo, the Ying Yang Twins alongside Big Murph and Cymple Man for his first single, “Twerking At The Hoedown”. Without question, Mr. ColliPark has played an integral role in the evolution of Southern hip hop from early Atlanta booty shake to twerk and going on to produce one of the worlds biggest dance songs, the Wobble. After decades of producing hit records and running his label, ColliPark Music, ColliPark has returned to his dj roots. He is now ready to take on Country Rap and make ‘em dance to the signature Mr. ColliPark sound with a twist. “I try to give the people what they want,” he explains. “I was a DJ before all of this. The dance floor and the Country Rap world are poised for a shift and Mr. ColliPark has the pedigree and creative prowess to move the needle.
