Laffey is a Toronto based producer and multi-instrumentalist blending lo-fi beats with soft guitar, emotional piano and atmospheric ambient sounds. After entering the lo-fi scene in 2018 with his first album Ten, he continues to deliver music that has its own fingerprint. With numerous cohesive and mood-setting solo projects, including Summer Nights, Forever Changing, A Day At A Time, After The Rain, Out Of Orbit and inner guidance (via Lofi Records) and The Moon and the Mind (via Sleep Tales) as well as an extensive independent catalog, Laffey's music is soothing and at peace. Crafted in the headspace for healing, calm and relaxation, his music is a personal sliver of himself. Laffey told Spill Magazine, “I have struggled with anxiety in my life. Lo-fi helps me chill and relax...People listen to escape, and find peace in a hectic world.” That ultimately is the goal with Laffey's music, to provide that place of escape and to serve the listener in a positive way.
