JP THE WAVY is a Japanese rapper who has received critical acclaim in both Japan and overseas for creating a new music genre, as well as his sophisticated sense of fashion. After working as a dancer, JP THE WAVY released his music video for “Cho Wavy De Gomenne” in 2017, which went on to become a record-breaking viral hint. The remix of the song, which features SALU, has currently amassed over 22 million views on YouTube. The album jacket and associated merchandise related to the project feature the work of graphic designer Verdy. In 2021, he was the only Asian performer chosen to appear on the soundtrack for “FAST & FURIOUS 9”, the latest offering in the “FAST & FURIOUS” series, and also received the GQ MEN OF THE YEAR 2021 award for . He recently released a collaboration EP series with leading American production team “Bankroll Got It”, which features guest appearances from the likes of Lil Keed, O.T. Genasis.
