Johnoy Danao is a Filipino songwriter, singer, and record producer. A consummate troubadour, he pens narratives on love and life, with the acoustic guitar as his battle axe. His songwriting style—a contemporary take on kundiman music—has won him several awards and recognition. He is also known for his collaborations with fellow musicians Clara Benin, and, most notably, with Ebe Dancel and Bullet Dumas, forming the trio 3D. Prior to his solo career, he was frontman of the band Bridge. To date, he has in his roster four critically-acclaimed solo albums: Dapithapon, Samu't-Sari, Salubungan, and the latest being Troubadour Tales—a collection of songs on what he says is a story of his life so far. In 2021, he released three singles namely, Isang Umaga, Bright Like the Sun, and Hot Chocolate, collaborating with some of the best musicians and producers in the industry. The next album is in the works.
