Insomniacks was formed in 2015 and comprises of Iqie as the lead vocalist and guitarist, Wan Arif Iskandar (bass) and Danial Doodye (rhythm guitar). In 2017, the band produced an introductory single "Selalu" which also featured as a soundtrack for a TV drama, My Coffee Prince. The drama which aired through Astro Ria channel is an adaptation of a South Korean phenomenon. In 2018, the band again raised the momentum of their name when their second song "Pulang" received a great response. The music video of "Pulang" received over 18 million views on YouTube as well as the highest streaming in various music platforms and getting 5x platinum of the total streaming downloads. Over five years of working hard to strengthen their name in the local music industry, Insomniacks achieved their goal to produce their debut EP in July 2020 titled Kepala Batu EP. They also worked hard in making sure the quality of the EP- which consist of five songs, meet the level that they aimed for.
