Formed in 1998, GROUNDATION is one of the legends of world reggae. In 2018, the mythical Californian jazz reggae group reformed around its leader HARRISON STAFFORD. He surrounds himself with the best musicians from the prestigious Sonoma State University. A reggae sound always imbued with jazz, added to this new generation which infuses its talent and creativity and comes to honor the reputation which has shaped GROUNDATION since its beginnings. After more than two decades and nine studio albums, GROUNDATION, which helped define American roots reggae, is back with its 10th studio album “ONE ROCK”. This new opus comes to perpetuate the legend of the Band with a sound and a spirit pushed even further. HARRISON STAFFORD leads the band’s current line-up through 9 intense songs with intricate arrangements and soulful melodies. The lyrics deal with the human condition, the human spirit and the state of the world. Always careful to respect its predecessors, GROUNDATION makes history by bringing together the legendary ISRAEL VIBRATION and THE ABYSSINIANS on one title, and working with the CONGOS on another. In 2023, the band has prepared a brand new show to celebrate the 20th anniversary on the release of the album «HEBRON GATE»! They will play this reggae masterpiece in its entirety. «HEBRON GATE» has marked an entire generation and propelled GROUNDATION into new spheres.
