Upcoming Glimlip Tour
At an early age Rotterdam born producer Glimlip never imagined himself becoming a beatmaker. Starting off playing the drums and guitar, music was nothing more than a playful way of spending his time. A few years further down the road it would be impossible though to speak about him without thinking of his soulful/jazz influenced beats inspired by the likes of J Dilla, Flying Lotus, Madlib and Kiefer. In May 2021, he released his debut album "Undertones" made in collaboration with Yasper. This project contains 20 tracks with jazzy harmonies and catchy riffs accompanied with dirty Hip-Hop drums. He just released his 2nd album "Twelve Chapters", in collaboration with Søren Søstrom & Soul Food Horns. You could say this project perfectly blends Jazz, Electronica and Instrumental Hip-Hop while merging the worlds of live music and computer programmed material. Accompanied by a seven-man strong band, Glimlip has performed live at the infamous North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam and the renowned jazz venue BIMHUIS in Amsterdam. These performances showcase his evolution from a producer to a dynamic live performer, solidifying his place in the world of music.
