About FJAAK

German electronic duo FJAAK produce driving, energetic dance tracks ranging from reflective power house to storming warehouse techno, with occasional U.K. garage, dub, and breakbeat hardcore influences. Gritty yet sensual, most of their tracks are composed entirely on analog equipment. Based in Berlin, Felix Wagner and Aaron Röbig had been making music together since childhood before they began producing techno as FJAAK in the late 2000s, while still teenagers. In 2021, they began to focus on their own labels: "FJAAK" and "SPANDAU20." In 2023, FJAAK started a new record label "CROWD," featuring both internationally established artists and newcomers. Now, in 2024, they have released their most ambitious project to date: the album "FJAAK THE SYSTEM." This album is a definitive statement of their love for club music in all its forms, combining elements of UK breakbeat, techno, 2-step, d'n'b, jungle, trip-hop, and ambient, featuring collaborations with Modeselektor, Skee Mask, Red Eye, and J.Manuel. Since graduating in audio engineering in the early 2010s, FJAAK have challenged the logic of a conservative club scene with their hardware-only live shows, DJ sets, and numerous record releases. With their rebellious attitude and energetic live performances, the duo have revived a crucial lost ingredient to the rave: playfulness. If their previous albums 'FJAAK' and 'Havel' set the scene, 'FJAAK THE SYSTEM' exceeds all expectations, establishing a new benchmark in their career.
