Emeli Sandé’s debut, 2012’s Our Version Of Events (Deluxe Edition), arrived after she was announced as the winner of the Critics’ Choice prize at the BRIT Awards, in a blaze of critical acclaim and praise from legendary artists including Madonna and Alicia Keys. Featuring hit singles including “Heaven”, “Read All About It, Pt. III” and “Next To Me”, Our Version Of Events was the biggest-selling album of the year and remains one of the best-selling records of the 2010s. Emeli followed with critically acclaimed Long Live The Angels in 2016, Kingdom Coming EP in 2017 and REAL LIFE in 2019. With 19 million singles sold including 3 x UK No.1singles, 6 million albums and four BRIT awards (including Best Female twice), Emeli received an MBE for Services to Music in 2018 and in July 2019, she became the University of Sunderland's Chancellor. In 2022, her first release on an independent label, Let's Say For Instance, marked a new era of Emeli’s expansive artistry after a decade on stage and on the airwaves, and she returns in 2023 with more new music in the form of her new album "How Were We To Know".
