1981年エレファントカシマシ結成。86年、中学のクラスメートであった宮本浩次・石森敏行・冨永義之の3人に、 冨永の高校時代の同級生だった高緑成治が加わり、現在のエレファントカシマシとなる。 繊細かつ叙情的な楽曲と、激情と刹那を感じる歌詞が特徴的な日本を代表するロックバンド。 2023年3月21日、デビュー35周年を迎え、ニューシングル「yes. I. do」をリリースし、初のアリーナツアーとなる「35th ANNIVERSARY TOUR 2023 YES. I. DO」を開催した。
