Ekin Cheng is a Hong Kong-based actor and singer best known for his starring role in the Young and Dangerous film series. Born in Hong Kong on October 4, 1967, he made his film debut in Girls Without Tomorrow (1992). He eventually rose to stardom in the film Young and Dangerous (1996), which proved so successful that it spawned an entire series of films. Meanwhile, he also embarked on a recording career as a Cantopop singer in association with BMG Records during the 1990s.
