About Drag-On

Hailing from the infamous birthplace of hip-hop, the Boogie Down (Bronx, NY), rapper/actor Drag-On has used his intrinsic talents since the age of 8, when he began penning his rhymes. He steadily kept building his creative craft and ultimately blazed onto the hip-hop scene in 2000, as one of the original artists under the renowned Ruff Ryders Entertainment imprint, via which Interscope Records released his debut album, called Opposite of H2O. That CD solidly established his place in hip-hop, debuting at #5 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling over 500,000 copies and earning a Gold certification from the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). Drag-On released his sophomore album Hell and Back in 2004. The acting bug bit Drag-On in 2001, and he has demonstrated his cinematic strengths by appearing in the films Exit Wounds (2001) and Cradle 2 The Grave (2003), both of which starred his former Ruff Ryders label mate, rapper/actor DMX. Drag-On began his own record label in early 2014, Hood Environment Record Label. The debut offering from his label is his summer 2014 single, “It's A Movie.” Since then, Drag-On has released several singles: Can’t Take It, Rayful Edmond, and many more. Not to mention his remarkable freestyles. These days, not only does he live in the studio honing his expressive hip-hop chops, but he also has several up-and-coming artists under his label.
