Dodo & the Dodos is a Danish poprock band, formed in 1985 by Anders Valbro (gui), @Dodo Gad (voc), Jens Rud(voc), Lars Thorup(drums) and Steen Christiansen (key,gui). The band originally started as a highschool band in til early 80-´s, but found the final form with the five members in the mid 80-´s .While working in Werner studio on their first album, Dodo was invited to sing on the all time danish football hit @Re-sepp-ten (1986). Soon after much anticipation, the debut album was released april (1987). The album was released with what has become two of their most popular songs @Vågner i natten and @Giv mig hvad du har and solidified them on the Danish music scene. In the following years, 1988-1992 the band recorded three additional albums including some Danish all time pop-classics, songs like; @Sømand af Verden and @Pigen med det røde hår. After a short break in the mid 90’s, the band once again joined forces and recorded yet two more studio albums over a period of 10 years with the additional single @ Ren fysik og kærlighed. ”@Dodo & the Dodos Upgrade”is a re-recording of hits from their first four albums, that intend to celebrate the classics with an updated sound. This will be the first time these songs have been made available on any streaming platform. You can still experience the band perform at venues all over Denmark and join in to celebrate the music that has been the soundtrack to countless festivities over the last 30 years.
