Clan of Xymox is a Dutch band formed in 1981 in Nijmegen, Netherlands. The band originally started under the name Xymox and was founded by Ronny Moorings. Their music is often classified as darkwave, gothic rock, and synth-pop, and they are known for their moody, atmospheric sound and introspective lyrics. In 1983, the band released their self-titled debut album "Subsequent Pleasures" and gained attention in the emerging gothic music scene.
